Jinn's Promise

Jinn's Promise is an original script written by Christopher M Poet.

The story focuses on Jinn, a scholar who is fixated on saving the life of his

daughter, Madison. His journey leads him along a dark path, becoming one of the

best antagonists Christopher has ever written. This short film centers

on a moment in the character's life that tips them over the edge

but fully explores the motivation and conflict within Jinn.

Meet the Characters:

Jinn | Main Lead
Nixilis| Second Lead

Jinn is a Mortal (human) Scholar who has lived the majority of his life on the road. His parents were Scholars before him, and his wife Edith was a student of languages before she passed away.

In this short film, Jinn finds himself on the edge of accomplishing his goal. Yet, there is a price to be paid.

Nixilis is a Minor Demon and a long-time friend to Jinn's family dating back to his great grandfather. Jinn has reached out to Nixilis, seeking his aid and Nixilis has come to Jinn's house to answer this call.

Help Support this Project

Jinn's Promise is a passion project built from years of writing with no backing or support. As such, I will be transparently honest when I say this project is being purely fueled by two young film students who are looking to start their journey outside of the influence of established studios. Jinn's Promise is just a small piece of a larger story and an even larger universe. The decision to go independent is in the interest of protecting the original vision and the creative control of its author.

As such, this is a passion project. There are no financial backers/investors involved. We are not being sponsored or supported by an established studio of any kind (currently). All funding, marketing, and additional material made on behalf of this project have been completely paid for or made by ourselves. However, this can not last indefinitely.

We need your help! Either as a direct supporter or just by helping to spread the word, we need you. We are edging closer and closer to a point where continuing this project will be impossible without your support. We completely understand the decision to support a project like this is not easy and comes with great risk. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to us and express them.
